Alexandria Ontario - The Heart of North Glengarry

Alexandria Ontario is located within the borders of the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry; referred to as SD&G. It is a community rich in spirit, history, and culture. Alexandria is the heart of the Township of North Glengarry. There are several events and activities which take place in Alexandria, and around the surrounding areas of North Glengarry. Two of note which are both spectacular and historical are the Glengarry Highland Games, and the Williamstown Fair.

This is an area that is ideal for a nature walk, snowmobiling, bird watching, off-road biking, fishing, and whatnot. The surrounding natural beauty of rural Ontario is in itself an all year event. It is not rare to see a wide variety of animals; especially in the spring and summer months. Alexandria, and North Glengarry are great places to live, safe places to raise children, and an area that is rich in parks, sports, and recreational activities. Located mid-way between Montreal and Ottawa, a trip to this area is worth the drive - especially if you are coming from a big city. Come spend a day or a weekend where the air is fresh, the sites are inspiring, the nature untamed, and of course... less traffic.
